looking at this compilation i made of my menolly drawings that are on this blog

notice that change in art is not always a straightforward progression from ‘bad’ to ‘good’. not only are there good art days/months and bad art days/months, but sometimes stylistic changes or experiments (failed or successful) interrupt or alter the flow of things. sometimes they’re all good in some unique ways, maybeyou like bits of some more than others. I think though that elements of newer pieces will be ‘improved’ in some way from the older ones – the stiffness of poses, the expressions, the balance/composition, the colors… I guess a defining trait here is I don’t finish pieces like this a lot, because I lose steam and/or interest… depends on what the definition of ‘finished’ is, though, of course 🙂
